For the last 5 months I've been working as a studio assistant for an awesome well established Seattle artist Betty Merken. She's an amazing painter, print maker and former Design Professor at UCLA. I shot this short video as part of a 3 day presentation Betty gave at UCLA this past weekend for Architects and Interior Designers showing how to develop Complimentary color swatches inspired by her Color Studies she did of 13 Italian Hill towns in the summer of 2011. As a trained professional photographer, working in a fine art studio has really gotten my head thinking about color and composition in a whole new amazing way.
