Last night my mom was rubbing elbows at an inaguration party in Pahala Hawaii for the new Democratic governor of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie. It just makes me so proud and happy and reminds me of this funny little moment when I probably 12 when my mom pulling out of the library parking lot one afternoon and I asked her "so whats the difference between a republican and a democrat?" She responded very vaguely but genuinely with,
"well your great grandma was a democrat and our whole family has always voted democrat because democrats are about fairness and are for the people and that's just the way it is"....
